HEY! CHECK OUT WHAT'S NEW . . .
HEELING PARTNERS MEETING WEDNESDAY, JUNE 2 We changed the date of our next Board meeting in order to discuss how we will handle Delta Society's recent announcement that teams who feed their dog a raw diet can no longer be members of Delta. The meeting will be at noon in Ira Karet's office at 710 Cooper Ave. in GWS. All are welcome. Please contact a Board member (see "contact us") if you have an opinion and cannot make the meeting. Please rsvp if you can come so we have a big enough room.
POOCH PARADE A HUGE SUCCESS! Our 5th Annual Pooch Parade, was held as a fundraiser for Beth Byerly to help pay for her medical bills (Beth passed away from cancer recently). THANK YOU to everyone who helped and who attended. We had more people and dogs than ever before and results exceeded our wildest expectations. Stay tuned for pictures!
VALLEY VIEW HEALTH FAIRS A SUCCESS! We once again had a Heeling Partners display at the Carbondale and Glenwood Springs Valley View Health Fairs. We answered questions
about our organization and about how people and their dogs can become Heeling Partners members. As always, our dogs got
lots of attention and gave tail wags and kisses. Many thanks to the people and pups for hosting our display: Molly/Sky, Sally/Patch, Laura, Joanne/Maxx, Audrey/Kane and Trish/Fina.
HUGE THANK YOUS TO . . .
. . . Ann, who volunteered to take over the sewing portion of our dog scarf project (at least for now). She has been working hard on cutting, stitching and binding each scarf and is doing a beautiful job.
. . . Debbie, who took over the emblem patch project. She has been working with Keith at Something Sweet to find a vendor to make a quality patch showing our Heeling Partners logo. Once completed, a patch will be sewn on each scarf.
. . . Jamie, who volunteered to complete our Heeling Partners non-profit corporate taxes, saving us $400.00 this year.
